Wood-E
® Design software is a structural design program for analyzing LP
® I-Joists and LP LVL beams. It enables the designer to analyze complex loads, and multiple span and cantilever configurations as well as many other conditions, all with in-house convenience. The graphic interface and Windows environment makes Wood-E Design software easy to install, learn, and use. Wood-E Design analyzes LP LVL beams and LP I-Joists for a variety of roof and floor applications.

The latest version of Wood-E Design, Version 2009.1.1, is now available for download. The key for installation will be automatically generated when you register to download the software.
All Wood-E Design users should download the newest version.

What’s New
General
- The latest version of Wood-E is available at http://www.lpcorp.com/Tools/Software/WoodEDesign.aspx
- Please install as soon as possible as it includes significant changes.
This version will be effective until 12/31/2009.
- All previous versions are now obsolete.
- Beginning 5/8/2009 Engineering will not accept designs with older versions.
Added Features
- Submit Jobs feature: several files for a job may be submitted at the same time from within Wood-E, including customer contact information that is saved as default, greatly simplifying the process of submitting files to LP.
- 1.75E LSL material.
Changes
- Updated Canadian values for LPI 18, 20 Plus, 32 Plus, 42 Plus and LSL
- Updated hole sizes: for 16” depth and under, maximum hole is d-4”, over 16”
maximum hole is d-6”. Exceptions: 9-1/2” depth, maximum 6” hole, 11-7/8” depth, maximum 8” hole.
- Improved handling of side loaded LVL and LSL beams.
- Updated Evaluation Report numbers.
- Increased nail values for connections
- Numerous other changes in usability, code compliance and improved calculation
methods.
