LP Quebec Forestry Operations
In Quebec, LP manages forestry operations on Forest Management Licenses provided through the Quebec government. We understand that there is an important stewardship responsibility associated with the management of these forest lands. LP has developed a sustainable forestry management system to help ensure these forest resources are managed in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable manner. We have certified our Quebec forestry operations to the International Standards Organization (ISO) 14001 Environmental Management System and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Standard (SFI).
LP chose the ISO 14001 standard as the foundation of its forestry environmental management system because it provides a solid framework for the integration and certification of the SFI Standard requirements.
