Riding Out the Weather: Mountain Bikers Put LP Legacy® Sub-Flooring to the Extreme Test
Under the cover of heavy rain, two professional mountain bikers, a team of videographers, and LP product experts trekked through a muddy British Columbia rainforest for a unique new adventure: putting LP Legacy® premium sub-flooring to Mother Nature’s—and extreme sports’—ultimate test. Pro athletes Ollie Jones and Kevin Landry built ramps using LP Legacy panels, then showed no mercy as they rode, jumped, and pounded through a torrential storm to showcase the strength and moisture resistance of LP’s premium sub-flooring.
The expedition was the second in LP’s Tested Extreme campaign, designed to differentiate LP Legacy sub-flooring and showcase its premium performance in a unique way. In the first test, panels were sent over a 70-foot waterfall and left to soak in the wake overnight.
University of Tennessee Architecture Students Design Tall Wood Structure for Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 5, 2018) – As the construction boom continues, sustainable urban building practices should be incorporated into every step of urban planning and development. Fourth year architecture students in the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design participated in the Nashville Civic Design Center’s (NCDC) Urban Design Studio challenge to design a wood-framed, high-rise multi-use structure.
On December 4, the architectural students participated in the final review of the 15-story Timber Tower Studio project, which was co-sponsored by Nashville-based LP Building Products, a leader in high-performance building solutions, and the UT-Oak Ridge National Laboratory Governor’s Chair for High-Performance Energy Practices in Urban Environments.
Waterfalls and Raging Rivers: LP Goes to Extremes to Demonstrate Performance of Legacy Sub-Flooring
In a remote forest north of Vancouver, product experts from LP Building Products and two of the world’s leading kayakers embarked on the ultimate mission: to demonstrate the strength and durability of LP Legacy™ sub-flooring by exposing it to one of Mother Nature’s biggest extremes.
Under the lens of adventure photographers and videographers, the team sent an LP Legacy sub-flooring panel over the edge of Britannia Falls, a 70-foot drop flowing at 625 cubic feet per second. The panel then remained in the falls’ swirling wake overnight.
