LP Wins ‘Innovation in Safety Award’ for Third Consecutive Year
Safety is a core value at LP, and we strive to create the safest work environment possible. Cruz Gonzalez, a millwright at LP’s mill in Jasper, Texas developed a tool that eliminates the risk of lifting slings breaking. Since the device firmly holds the saw chain in the proper position, it makes the process to change a chain easier and faster. Gonzalez said, “I like to find solutions instead of trying to find excuses.”
LP is proud to announce that this clamp won the APA Equipment-Based Innovation in Safety Award in 2015. This is the third year in a row LP has received an “Innovation in Safety” award. In 2014, LP’s Pinch Point Safety won the Process-Based Innovation award and in 2013, LP’s Log Jam Pusher won the Equipment-Based Innovation award. Not only has LP won awards for safety innovation, but it has also been named one of America's Safest Companies and has consistently received safety accolades from the APA for industry-leading results. Every year, LP reaches higher and keeps striving to make new safety records.
