LP Building Products Earns ETA CE Approval for LP SolidStart LSL Products

LP Building Products is the first and only company that has received European Technical Approval (ETA) and CE approval, the industry standard for trading of construction materials throughout the European Union, for three grades of LP® SolidStart® LSL, allowing the company to introduce more alternatives to traditional timber and LVL into the European market.

The ETA and CE Approved products include:
• LP SolidStart LSL-Q Lite (1.35E),
• LP SolidStart LSL-Q (1.55E),
• LP SolidStart LSL-G (1.75E).

“Engineered for consistency and strength, LP SolidStart LSL offers a host of advantages over traditional timber, including better fastener connections, straightness and increased design flexibility,” explained Al Huber, international sales manager for LP Building Products. “By gaining both ETA and CE approval for these products, we’ll be able to provide builders in the European Union with more cost-effective alternatives to competitive products.”

LP SolidStart LSL is available in standard thicknesses of 29mm, 32mm, 35mm, 38mm, 45mm and 89mm. It comes in depths up to 619mm.

There are currently seven wholesale distributors stocking LP SolidStart Engineered Wood Products: Falcon Panel Products Limited (U.K.), MBM Forest Products Limited (U.K.), SpanoTech (Belgium), van Hoorebeke Timber (Belgium), Wyder Engineered Timber Systems Limited (U.K.), DPW Te Paske and WWP Wood Products (The Netherlands – Door Stabalisers). LP is also actively pursuing distributors in both Germany and France.
