A Name Synonymous With Quality

Supershed LLC was founded by John Berryman in 1995 as a family-run business and affiliate of Derksen Portable Buildings. The company first focused on serving residents of Middle Tennessee, but quickly expanded. The Supershed name has since become synonymous with quality and affordability.  Built in the tradition of Mennonite craftsmanship, Supershed now includes several manufacturing facilities and hundreds of authorized Supershed dealers in cities and towns throughout the Midwest. Its service area covers Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Iowa.

Customizing Sheds

The versatility of LP Outdoor Building Solutions products has contributed to the rising popularity of the Supershed brand. “As the portable building industry trends towards more and more customization, LP products have allowed us to offer our customers a variety of options,” says Marie Berryman, Marketing & Public Relations Director for Supershed. “We offer feature walls and wainscoting in LP® SmartSide® Lap Siding, Board and Batten, Cedar Texture Shakes and LP SmartSide Panel Siding. LP® ProStruct® flooring with SmartFinish® has transitioned from being a popular option to being our standard flooring on almost all of our buildings.”

The workability of engineered wood from LP is another major draw for the Supershed team. “LP’s products are consistent, easy to work with and ensure that our warranty repairs are minimized,” explains Berryman.

Featured Project: A ‘Not-So-Tiny’ Tiny House

The team recently constructed a unique project that was featured at the Tulsa State Fair last fall: a not-so-tiny tiny house. Tiny houses are one of Supershed’s specialties. “It featured LP SmartSide and LP ProStruct Flooring with SmartFinish,” says Berryman. “It got a lot of attention.”

The building measured 16 x 40 including the porch. It featured a combined kitchen and living space, a separate bedroom (large enough for a queen bed) and full bath. It also included two lofts (one for sleeping and one for storage), appliances, an HVAC system and plumbing fixtures.
