4 Popular LP Siding Profiles for Custom Sheds & Barns

American homeowners expect their homes to be durable, but they are not willing to sacrifice looks for performance. The same goes for their sheds and barns! Shed buyers want a structure that is not simply functional and long-lasting. They want a building that also complements their home’s architecture, bringing a sense of harmony to the property. Fortunately, LP understands that homeowners and builders want plenty of design options to customize the exterior of homes and storage buildings. It’s why we have developed a wide variety of siding profiles, ensuring there is an LP® SmartSide® product for any residential construction or shed project.

A Siding Profile for Every Shed

LP’s engineered structural panels are designed for optimal performance and stability. While you’ve heard a lot about our panel siding on this blog, LP has much more to offer! We feature several siding profiles to supplement our traditional shed product line. Create your own unique exterior design using one or more of the following LP profiles.

Cedar Lap. Beautiful LP cedar lap is available in smooth and textured finishes, and comes in multiple widths like traditional wood siding. It is manufactured free of knots and other common defects, resulting in less waste and culling. The shed pictured here features LP cedar lap siding and was constructed by Liberty Storage Solutions of SC, LLC, in Due West, SC.

Cedar Shakes. Get the rustic look of real cedar with our cedar textured shakes that can be used as a decorative accent or over the entire shed. The cedar shake siding profile is an eye-catching alternative to the uniformity of conventional siding, featuring staggered or straight edge options in one versatile piece.

Reverse Board & Batten. A rustic and cross-sawn texture gives this vertical panel the weathered grain appearance of cedar. Shiplap edges make it easier to level and apply.

No-Groove Strand Panel with Batten Strips. This is a popular rustic look often used for horse barns and other agricultural structures. This panel is so strong it’s rated for structural use by the Engineered Wood Association. It looks fantastic when finished with Haley Paint urethane!

Tough Beauty at Your Fingertips

All LP siding profiles are made with the proprietary SmartGuard® manufacturing process to protect against fungal decay and termites, making them a smart alternative to natural wood and fiber cement siding. They are backed by a 5/50-Year Limited Warranty and come pre-primed for exceptional paint adhesion.
