Happy 20th Birthday, LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding!
LP is excited to announce it has reached an important milestone in the history of the LP® SmartSide® brand: a twentieth anniversary!
2017 marks LP SmartSide products twentieth year as a leading building industry brand, and one of the fastest-growing brands of exterior siding in the U.S. today. Since its launch in 1997, LP SmartSide siding has proven to be a robust, performance-driven product that continues to grow in popularity among builders, architects, remodelers and homeowners.
Amy Lindholm, brand manager for LP’s siding segment, acknowledged the tremendous team effort necessary to reach this anniversary milestone. “LP SmartSide siding is successful because many talented, dedicated people have done their best over the past two decades to craft products that consistently perform at a high level. The employees at our mills are incredible! For 20 years, they have been producing what we all believe is the best engineered wood siding in the world,” said Lindholm. “We also recognize our knowledgeable sales force and hardworking administrative employees in key markets across North America. This anniversary is a testament to the quality and dedication that goes into every inch of LP SmartSide trim and siding.”

LP is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. LP SmartSide products are manufactured at six North American mills in the following locations: Hayward, Wisconsin; Tomahawk, Wisconsin; Newberry, Michigan; Roaring River, North Carolina; Two Harbors, Minnesota; and Swan Valley, Manitoba.
During 2017, anniversary celebrations will be held at each LP SmartSide mill and at Corporate Headquarters to thank employees for their hard work and efforts. Stay tuned for updates!
Another Milestone: 10 Billion Square Feet of LP® SmartSide® Siding Sold
Along with our twentieth anniversary, LP has also reached another exciting milestone in our brand history. In the past 20 years, LP has sold 10 billion square feet of LP SmartSide siding. That’s more than 358 square miles of siding.
