History of Partnership with Gary Sinise Foundation

The LP Foundation is a proud partner of the Gary Sinise Foundation, which supports wounded veterans in several ways. You can learn more about the LP Foundation here.

Founded in 2011, the Gary Sinise Foundation has served as the award-winning actor and humanitarian’s giving branch, focused on tirelessly supporting America’s military and first responders. You can learn more about the Gary Sinise Foundation by visiting their website at https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/.

The Beginning of the Partnership

At LP Building Solutions, we’re always looking for ways to support our overall purpose of Building a Better World™. As a building materials manufacturer, we understand the potential impact we can have on our communities and how we can positively impact the lives of others.

One initiative of the Gary Sinise Foundation is the R.I.S.E. Program (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment), which builds 100% mortgage-free custom homes for our nation’s most severely wounded heroes.

This program aligned with our primary giving category (Housing) and our focus on providing support to communities that need it the most. This led to the partnership with the LP Foundation and the Gary Sinise Foundation in 2022, our first national non-profit partner.

Our partnership began with a $100,000 donation to the R.I.S.E. Program and has continued with additional yearly financial support to aid the Gary Sinise Foundation as it provides homes, mobility devices and more to wounded heroes. The smart homes that are provided to injured, wounded, ill or aging veterans have made tremendous impacts on the lives of our heroes, and we were honored to play a role to help this mission come to life.

Expanding the Partnership

In September of 2024, we decided to expand our efforts by committing to provide 100% of the LP SmartSide Trim & Siding required for all of the custom homes being built through the R.I.S.E. Program.

The Gary Sinise Foundation’s spirit of providing a first class and adaptable living situation for wounded veterans aligned perfectly with our own vision of a better future for our veterans. We were eager to expand our involvement with the RISE program by providing materials that are built to last, sustainable, and easy-to-maintain.

From our own CEO, Brad Southern: “We take a great deal of pride in the work the LP Foundation does. A partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation to support the R.I.S.E. program is a significant step forward in the Foundation’s scope of work at the national level. I am excited for this new venture and the impactful work we will do alongside the Gary Sinise Foundation, in addition to the great things the Foundation continues to do in our mill communities.”

Looking Toward the Future

In partnering with the Gary Sinise Foundation’s R.I.S.E. Program, LP Foundation is honored to play a role in supporting our nation’s veterans. By supplying durable, sustainable LP SmartSide Trim & Siding, we aim to contribute to the creation of safe, comfortable, and long-lasting homes for these brave individuals who have given so much to our country.

Together with the Gary Sinise Foundation, we are proud to stand behind the commitment to restoring independence and supporting empowerment for our wounded heroes.
