NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 15, 2025) – LP Building Solutions (LP), a leading manufacturer of high-performance building products, today announced that charitable contributions in 2025 totaled more than $1.6 million through the LP Foundation and other corporate giving efforts that support communities across the U.S. and Canada. This marks the sixth consecutive year of increased contributions and the second year in a row that donations surpassed $1 million. The funding and product support reached more than 120 nonprofits and public schools.
With this year’s donations, the LP Foundation—an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit fully funded by LP—has contributed more than $23 million since 1985, not including additional corporate giving conducted outside the foundation.
“Every year, our team members show a tremendous commitment to the well-being of their communities,” said LP Foundation President Breeanna Straessle. “Through LP’s community-focused giving strategy, we’re proud to strengthen local nonprofits, environmental stewardship, disaster resilience and workforce development throughout North America.”
The LP Foundation oversees five philanthropic programs: Community Grants, Disaster Relief, Team Member Donation Matches, Team Member Nonprofit Board Service Grants and a partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation.
Supporting Communities Through Grants and Local Partnerships
The LP Foundation provides grants across the company’s mills, facilities and offices, giving each site the ability to support local nonprofits and public schools as needs arise. Community grants represent the largest share of the foundation’s annual contributions. Funding priorities focus on three areas aligned with LP’s mission and values: affordable housing, environmental stewardship and future workforce development.
Among the nearly 40 grants awarded was one from LP’s Houlton, Maine manufacturing facility to Regional School Unit (RSU) 29 for its Construction Trades program, which provides hands-on training in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing and other trades. LP’s mill in Sagola, Michigan awarded a grant to the West Iron Forestry Club to deepen students’ understanding of forestry and ecosystem management. In Roxboro, North Carolina, LP funded the North Carolina Prescribed Fire Council, a coalition focused on reducing wildfire risk and protecting local habitats.
“RSU 29 is grateful for the support and connection with LP,” said RSU 29 Superintendent Joe Fagnant. “Our construction trades course was created to give students an opportunity to explore all aspects of the trade industries. With the funding provided by LP, we were able to purchase equipment and project supplies and take students on trips to visit manufacturers and job sites. We are so thankful for LP's vision of community support and workforce development through this financial partnership with RSU 29.”
Delivering Relief When Communities Need It Most
The LP Foundation’s Disaster Relief program activates when disasters occur within 60 miles of an LP facility. This year, the LP Foundation contributed to response efforts following wildfires in Minnesota and flooding in North Carolina, while LP supplied product donations to support rebuilding after the severe wildfires that devastated California.
"When wildfires threatened our community and families were affected, LP acted immediately to provide support—demonstrating our commitment to the communities we serve,” said LP Two Harbors Plant Manager Brandon Cole.
Advancing Forest Restoration and Expanding Hands-On Learning
One notable environmental partnership this year was with the National Forest Foundation (NFF). LP provided support to the NFF, including contributions to its Sapling Program on behalf of builders, supporting reforestation efforts in National Forests.
LP also supported several university-level building and forestry programs with product donations, helping students gain hands-on experience. Recipients included Michigan Technological University, Virginia Tech and Northern Maine Community College.
