LP Building Solutions Announces Plans for a New LP^® SmartSide^® ExpertFinish^® Facility in Spokane, Washington

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 1, 2022) – LP Building Solutions (LP), a leading manufacturer of high-performance building products, today announced it has initiated project development to build a new LP^® SmartSide^® ExpertFinish^® prefinishing facility on 80 acres in Spokane, Washington. With a targeted opening date in the fourth quarter of 2024, the facility is projected to add more than 60 new jobs to the Spokane community.

“2022 has been a tremendous year for the growth of our ExpertFinish products and we are excited to build a foundation for expansion in the Pacific Northwest,” said LP Executive Vice President and General Manager of Siding Jason Ringblom. “Market feedback on ExpertFinish has given us the confidence to invest in long-term capacity at a rapid pace.”

The new facility, which is contingent upon state and local approvals, will be LP’s fifth siding prefinishing facility—LP Roaring River, LP Green Bay, and LP St. Louis are already online and working to meet the growing demand for ExpertFinish products, with LP New York set to begin production in the second quarter of 2023.

The site is located 15 minutes from downtown Spokane and is strategically integrated with the Washington Eastern Railroad, a short line owned by Jaguar Transport. The Spokane site will be LP’s 13^th siding facility and 24^th overall facility in North and South America.
