We know that LP® SmartSide® customers take abundant pride in their work—as they should! One LP customer, Wisconsin homebuilder Chris Cook, has a passion for high quality homes with unique designs that are full of character and style. Chris uses LP SmartSide products on nearly all of the homes he builds.
Back in 2007, Chris was introduced to LP SmartSide Trim & Siding by a colleague and was especially impressed with the products when he toured an LP SmartSide manufacturing plant. In 2009, he started using the products on craftsman style homes. Although the market was in a rough spot, his new LP SmartSide homes were selling extremely well. Clients loved the look of his homes, so he decided to introduce a standard specification that all homes with siding needed to have LP SmartSide products.
Beyond craftsman and bungalow style homes, Chris has recently been building classic colonial homes inspired by traditional New England architectural styles. He will often add a bright red barnwood style garage attachment. “They’re true showstoppers,” says Chris. “We’ve done some really interesting homes that you couldn’t create with fiber cement and certainly couldn’t create with vinyl. LP SmartSide products made it possible.”

GoBankRates.com estimates that the average tax refund this year will total about $3,000. In a survey conducted by that organization, 10 percent of respondents said they plan to splurge on a vacation or luxury item when the refund arrives. But 9 percent plan to use that money for a “major purchase.”
To better serve its customers in areas of order accuracy and delivery predictability, LP has set some of the industry’s most aspirational supply chain goals.
