LP’s Partnership with Hayden Homes to Build Homes for a Cause
LP Building Products has been a partner of Oregon-based Hayden Homes and their nonprofit organization, First Story for several years now. Founded in 1998, First Story helps lower-income families purchase homes with no down payment and no-interest loans.
In addition to supporting First Story through a $10,000 donation, LP teams up with Hayden Homes on a variety of events, including the Hayden Homes/LP Quack Shack at the University of Oregon during football season. At the Quack Shack event, Oregon fans can play corn hole and other tailgating games while checking out some LP products and learning about Hayden Homes. The partnership includes radio advertising, social media efforts, promotions, advertising and special events in other nearby states including Washington and Idaho.
LP Senior Market Development Manager Tom Conchuratt recently got a firsthand look at how LP’s relationship with Hayden Homes fits in with the builder’s efforts to help deserving families achieve the dream of owning a home through Hayden’s nonprofit organization First Story.
Tom recently attended a First Story fundraiser in Bend, where the nonprofit is based, to help raise awareness and money for an ambitious endeavor. This year alone, Hayden Homes will be building six homes for First Story in Oregon using many of LP’s products.
“Working with First Story has been such a rewarding experience so far,” Tom said. “We’re excited to see all the homes the organization will build in the future and we’re thrilled to assist such a great cause."
